Ever hear that giving things away helps the psyche? Yes, please donate that sweater that is hanging in the closet. Not only has it been there for several years, admit that you will not be wearing it. Beauty supplies collecting on the counter tops? Try gifting it to your niece or a little girl that would enjoy an assortment of necessities. You are eliminating one bag at a time. No, we do not need duplicates of soaps, toothpaste, or shampoo. Get in there and throw away those half bottles. Whether it hits the bottom of the trash bin or your neighbor’s apartment, you are removing the clutter.
Don’t know where to start? The bathroom is the best place. This is where we enter first thing in the morning and traditionally it has smaller square footage. Complete this entire area and then move elsewhere. It can be your car, desk, or residence but don’t wait!
Remember, if you are staging your home or selling, it is best to downsize. Not only is it easier on the move and transporting, your residence will show better to potential purchasers.
